Here are some highlights from this morning!

Whitefish, MT Winter Wonderland

Here is a great picture Dave took looking down Central Avenue of our town, Whitefish. The Christmas decorations are great. You can see the train station where we spend a lot of time looking for engines. You can also see Big Mountain, our ski resort, in the background. Dave was heading up to ski when he took this picture, Carson and I were already finished and down.

Christmas Cookie

Carson's cookie!

Big Man in a Little Jacket

... and vice versa. Carson and Dave traded coats. We were all giggling!

Carson's Christmas Program

Here is a video of Carson's Christmas program from his school. It was pretty funny. We forgot to get the gum out of his mouth before the show. He was singing along... not quite as enthusiastically as Vitoria, the girl behind him. Merry Christams!

Santa's Helpers

A tree eating monster causes two train crashes

This is what we do when Carson is at school.

Coffee Table Peek-a-boo

Our coffe table sure gets a lot of use! This entertained them for about 15 minutes. They would each lay on opposite ends, flip their heads over and giggle.

Sugar Cookies!

Carson and I made sugar cookies this weekend. He LOVED rolling the dough and picking out the shapes. He calls them "shape cookies". He rolled this last piece of dough for about 20 minutes before we chose a cookie to create. Notice what he uses to wipe his hands off!

Isaac's latest climb

Isaac went into my room and got a stool. It was at my sink in the bathroom of course as he helps me clean out my drawers most mornings. He used the stool to climb into this. He was pretty proud of himself!

Isaac's Reach

Here is a picture of ID getting his sippy cup. He is now using our bar stools to get him the extra 3 feet he needs to reach things. He has no fear!

Notice the dogs prepared for any morsal that may hit the floor.

We figured the trash can would be a good break for the possible fall. Just kidding, actually he was safe and got back down with a little unsolicited help from his disgruntled father.

Opening Day at Big Mountain

oops, I mean Whitefish Mountain Resort. Dave, Carson and I all have season passes. Carson has been asking when we get to ski for almost 6 months now, so we were excited to take him today. Isaac did some riding too. We are going again tomorrow!

Isaac Sorting Shapes (Sort of)

Here is a video of ID sorting shapes. He likes to try to jam each shape into any slot.... I usually help him find the right one. He was feeling stubborn on this take.

Christmas 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007

Here are some pictures reflecting on the past four years. A lot has changed!

Oh Christmas Tree

We got our tree today... Montana style. We drove to the national forest (10 miles from our house), hiked, found the tree we wanted, chopped it down and drug it to the truck. While tree shopping in the forest, it is easy to fall in love with a tree only to realize that it is 40 feet tall, even though it is much shorter than the others around it.

The boys had a blast. Isaac, still not sure of snow (there was 6 inches) mainly stood in one place. Carson, on the other hand, was all over. He especially loved shaking the trees to get the snow off and eating snow (white only!). Here is a video of Carson feeding Isaac snow.

Dave pulled Carson up the road on the sled... and had Issac on his shoulders while dragging the tree back down. He never gets tired!

Finally, sledding with the boys. Carson loved it... the dogs ran along too. Isaac was not quite sure.... give it a couple of months, he will be at home with snow! Hank leads the group, and Jake fills the caboose position. It was so fun to watch!

Our New Truck

Many of you have felt it has been overdue for Dave to get a new vehicle. We did it! Here are some pictures of our new rig. Don't worry, we still have the Bronco for you visitors who need a car while you are here! We fit all 6 of us in it... the boys love it!

Keim Gymnastics II

Tonight, this was an activity the boys found fun with their dad.

Super Baby!

Even though Super Baby has Super Power strength, he still can't seem to open the refrigerator.

View from Haggar's Lone Elk Lodge

This is our view from the lodge we will be staying in for Abbey's wedding. One is taken from the kitchen, the other from outside. It is beautiful!

Bath Time

A video from their bath last night! Carson gets a little frusterated with his little brother who keeps knocking down the letters / numbers every time Carson puts them up.

Little Artists

Here is a video of the boys coloring. Isaac has a problem with eating the crayons and doesn't last very long, but Carson loves it and currently is preferring his left hand.

Jumping Beans

Here they are, jumping again!

Lounging

Here is a picture of Isaac in his chair when he is watching a video. This chair serves a lot of functions including wrestling and tumbling prop.

Coffee Table Gymnastics

I wanted to get a video of Carson jumping off of the coffee table, a favorite of his to do. Isaac was too good in both of these videos, I couldn't choose. One is sideways, but it is hilareous.

No children or animals were harmed in the making of this video. Notice what Carson asks at the end of this one.

Again, listen to Carson's instructions for his brother's big jump.

The injured Duck

Oba (Betty) gave Carson this duck for Easter. Carson wanted a turn with my vacuum and accidently sucked the duck up. We extracted him, but the tuffs of hair on the sides of his head were ripped off. He wanted bandaids and has been taking care of this duck ever since. Evidently a bandaid fell off when I was gone this weekend and Dave took care of the problem. Which side do you think this is his?

Boys Playing Football

There is no sound for this video. First they will hike the ball to Daddy, go out for a pass and run around the house and come back and throw the ball back to Dave shouting touchdown. In this take, Isaac slipped and fell down in the kitchen, so we are encouraging him to get up and finish his touchdown run.

Keim House Before and After

Here are some pictures before and after pictures of our house. We have really hit landscaping hard this year. We put in a new deck, hot tub, and have put in a rock wall, fire pit, among other things... all under the master plan of Dave. Here is some of the progress!

Front of the House

We removed a tree, added some topsoil and extended the yard out into the driveway a couple of feet. We also moved the rock display and put it in our rock wall and have a new front "porch"

May 2006 and November 2007

Back Deck

We removed the old deck and Abbey's future brother-in-law built a new one. We can now eat outside and enjoy a new hot tub.... ready for visitors!

November 2006 and July 2007

Rock Wall

Swapping for a root canal plus some other dental services, we had a patient of Dave's build this rock wall to extend our side yard. Dave also built a firepit and we still need to put in some rock stairs.

April 2006 and November 2007

Living Room

We painted and put in new carpet.

April 2006 and November 2007

Kitchen and Side Hallway
We put in new flooring, and painted the ceiling, changed light fixtures....

April 2006 and November 2007

Bedrooms

We painted Carson's and the guest/Isaac's room, but have not done anything with ours.

Last picture! Dave created this sandbox for the boys...

Carson's First Trip to the Dentist... as a patient!

Here are some pictures of Carson getting his teeth polished for the first time. He did great, and will be the first to let you know! His sunglasses kept the bright light out of his eyes and made him feel super cool.
