Thanksgiving Program

Carson's class hosted a Thanksgiving Program. It included two songs and a reading. Below are the videos from the program. We then sat with the kids and had a little lunch. We had soup, bread, butter, and pumpkin pie, all of which the kids made (even the butter). It was great fun!

Carson Tae Kwon Do Tourney

Carson competed in his first big tournament this past weekend. He competed in two events: Poomse (POOM-SAY) is forms and then sparring. He placed 2nd in both and received trophies! Here is the footage:

This is Poomse. They put to competitors together and choose the best one. Carson is on your right hand side. He is doing Basic Form #1.

Here he is sparring. You get a point for a solid kick to the chest plate of your opponent. It takes 2 punches to get a point. Tae Kwon Do is mainly known for its kicking. He had the lead until the last 2seconds. It was tied 9-9 and the other opponent got a last kick in and won 10-9 Carson is wearing Blue. I was really proud of him!

Little man is on the move! He pretty much walks everywhere now, it is so cute because he is so short! Here are a few pictures of him showing off his stuff!

There was a prescribed burn that day, so a fire was burning with a helicopter monitoring and dumping water... pretty cool.
Isaac talked Dave into swimming with him. He is crazy. I put my feet in, it is getting cold!

T-ball

The boys love t-ball! Isaac was able to join the team because he had an older brother... he is the youngest on the team!

Here are some videos. Both boys are doing great. Carson can field well, but is not sure what to do with the ball when he gets it. Both are hitting the ball when pitched to. But most importantly, they are having a BLAST!

Tae Kwon Do - First Tourney

Carson participated in his first TKD tournament this weekend. He did great for his first one. Parents and he were a little clueless on how it went. He has just been promoted to the next level of class, and competed with those kids. He loved it and was very proud of how he did.

He got third place in sparring. He lost his first match to the winner, but won his second match with a sudden death tie-breaker. He was pumped.

It happened skiing, on a green in the spring snow... the snow was thick and didn't allow his binding to release when he fell. A spiral fracture up his tibia....

Last night... he has been sleeping in our bed since he has a history of wandering at night. Again, Spiderman is present in his jammies!


My mom was able to come up and help... thank goodness since I had two kids that needed carried! The boys are showing off what they bought with their birthday money.

The cast was cut off today so he can do some swimming in Mexico. Dave found a sharp spot, so had the SawsAll, some swim goggle, the cast in the living room to fix the issue. He will be in the back part of his permanent cast with an ace bandage keeping it on.
